Bliss on Highway 1

What do you think of when you hear the word "Highway 1". As for me, who has gone on this highway, would think of a beautiful road, with extrodinary views. Highway 1 is a "wiggly road"-as Nihar would call it. On one side, there is cool land formations, and different plants. On the other side there is a wonderful view of a clear, blue, endless sea. I enjoyed every minute of the 3 hour drive. We stopped every half an hour to appreciate the views. Towards the end of drive, the sun started setting. Every 2 seconds the sun went down 2 inches! It was as though the ocean was swallowing the sun. The sky became yellow, orange, and red. Soon there was just one spec of the sun left. In two seconds, it was gone! For five minutes we looked away. I just happended to glance at the sea. I then saw the most wonderful, and colorful sight. The sky was yellow at the bottom, near the sea, and then orange above it, and then red, then purple, then teal, and the most prettiest blue, and then a mucky blue. Everything was so nice, I didn't feel like looking away. I just happened to look at the other side, though. There I saw a huge, bright, beautiful, full moon. In my whole life, I never remember such a moon. This is what I call "Bliss"

Where is my Wii?

Ever since my little brother, Nihar played the Wii at my friend's house, he fell in love with it! My dad also seemed enthusiastic about buying the game, and Nihar was so sure that we would get it from "Santa Claus". On Christmas morning, Nihar and me, ran downstairs to see how many presents we got. I started feeling my presents, trying to guess what they are. Nihar on the other hand, was throwing presents everywhere, saying "Where is my Wii?". That morning, while opening presents, Nihar made sure that he opened the bigger ones first, hoping it was the Wii. He never found it. With each present, he said, "Where's the Wii, Dad", "Where is my Wii, Mom,", "Is this the Wii?" It never was. He ended up getting many good things, but no Wii. Later that day, my dad was holding a barbecue party with many close friends. At the end of the party, we opened more presents friends gave us. Nihar starts again with "I think this is my Wii?", "Hmm, it this the Wii?". The day ended Wii-less, and while putting Nihar to bed, Nihar says, "I think I will start asking for a Wii next Christmas!". Ugh, here we go again!!!!

"NO! We don't serve peanuts, now stop asking!" the bartender says.
The duck leaves. The next day he comes back and asks the same question.

me and my family

Starting with me grandpa to my 5 year old brother, my family is the best! My grandpa is the one who makes school work fun and possible. He helps me with my homework, and checks it everyday. Despite his age and his health, he can always make time and energy to help me. He teaches me good advice and how to care for my brother properly. He is just like a tutor, advisor, and a friend for me. I love him dearly and nothing could seperate us. My grandma is a wonderful person, too. She is very nice, and takes care of clothes, cooking, and without her, my mother would have even more word on her. I can't think of anyone who is like my grandma. My mom goes to MBA, and is always busy. She takes care of work, tough school, me and Nihar, and our grandparents at the same time. She is a very nice person, and is very hardworking. Despite everything, she still finds time for family and friends, and of course, exercise. She also takes time to look pretty and nice. I never saw her untidy before. I love my mom a lot, and nothing could take her away form me. My dad, is also very hardworking. He wakes up at 5 AM everyday to get to work, and at 9 PM he is driving home from work. But, when me and Nihar are at his house, he always makes time to take us out to places. He takes us out to lunch every Saturday, and takes us somewhere of our choice. He is the one who helps me with school.(my grandpa does homework) Nothing in this world is better than my family.

me and my bro

My amazing brother, Nihar is always everywhere doing everything. Either in the house, playing with a ball, or outside, biking, Nihar never feels too tired. He is always entertaining himself with toy swords, and guns. Even though we get into lots of fights, we have a really close relationship. He is almost like a little friend to play with. I never feel bored playing with him. He does annoy me a lot, but hey, that's what little brothers are for. Nihar is also a wonderful source of entertainment. He would make everyone laugh all the time. He is also Mr. Social, as my mom would call him. He would go up to anyone, adult or child, and start a conversation with them. He would ask, "What's your name?", "Where do you live?", and more embarrassing, "How old are you?" He would always act cool, and walk cool, trying to be a "bad guy" from some Hindi movie. When he is sleeping, he always needs someone to cuddle with him. He is the best brother I know, and nothing could seperate my relationship with this amazing boy.

book reports

5th grade is much harder than 4th grade. The week I get into school, I have a DAR report due. The minute I finish the DAR, I get a book report. Teachers throwing assignments after assignments on us, we get no break. Homework is getting more and harder. As a gift for my 10th birthday, I got a laptop so most of my assignments are easier to do, now that I can carry my laptop back and forth. Thankfully, I have a wonderful family that helps me with all my work, making everything easier for me. I feel so grateful that I have such a family.

My digital journal

I finally decided to go from a diary with a pen and pad to writing a journal on the computer. From school, I learned how to type fast, and I got a laptop for my 10th birthday, writing on my computer everyday on my experiences would be a blast. I like to read and write so I am really looking forward to sharing my good and bad times with my computer.
